What to Expect

Every student learns differently, so every lesson is personalized to fit. Our Teaching Artists take a holistic approach to music education, tailoring instruction to each student’s goals, whether that’s learning their first scale, preparing for an audition, or simply building confidence at the keys.

  • Private, one-on-one lessons — individualized pacing and attention, 30 minutes per session
  • All skill levels welcome — from complete beginners to advanced musicians
  • Ages 5 to adult
  • Piano, or a piano/voice combo — many of our younger beginners thrive with our combo lesson: 15 minutes of piano fundamentals paired with 15 minutes of voice, so students learn piano basics and get to sing their favorite songs every week

Frequently Asked Questions

Do I need a piano at home to take lessons? Consistent practice at home is a key part of learning any instrument — our younger students see the most progress when they’re able to practice regularly between lessons. Access to a piano or keyboard at home is recommended to support that practice.

What ages do you teach? We welcome students ages 5 through adult. Lessons are tailored to the student’s age and developmental stage.

How long are lessons, and how often do they meet? Private lessons are 30 minutes and typically scheduled weekly.

Should my child take piano lessons, or the piano/voice combo? It depends on the student! Many of our younger beginners love the combo format — 15 minutes of piano and 15 minutes of voice each week — because it keeps lessons varied and lets them sing songs they already love while building piano fundamentals. Older or more advanced students may prefer to focus on piano alone. Let us know your child’s interests and we can help you choose the right fit.

Can I schedule piano and voice lessons for siblings together? Reach out to our team and we’ll do our best to coordinate scheduling that works for your family.
