[Pittsburgh, PA, April 14, 2024] – We are thrilled to announce Lacey LeMere as Assistant Artistic Director at Cynthia’s School of Dance & Music.
Lacey is a 2021 graduate of Point Park University with a Bachelor of Fine Arts Degree in Dance with a Concentration in Jazz and a Business Management Minor. She studied under the direction of Garfield Lemonius and has trained under faculty members Jason McDole, Kiesha Lalama, Mark Burrell, Kiki Lucas, and Rocker Veratisque. While at Point Park University, Lacey has performed works choreographed by Pittsburgh Ballet Theatre member, Yoshiaski Nakano, as well as faculty member Pearlann Porter. Lacey was born and raised just north of Detroit, Michigan, where she began dancing at the age of four. She has trained in ballet, jazz, tap, modern and hip hop, under the direction of Laurie Papovich and Regina Ihns.
Lacey rigorously studied The Cecchetti Method of Ballet and has received her examination certification in the elementary, intermediate, and advanced levels.
Dr. Cindy Zurchin, Director of Cynthia’s School of Dance & Music said, “Lacey’s passion for dance and her dedication to our studio’s mission of Building Confidence in our Students make Lacey a perfect for this newly created position.” Lacey began teaching at Cynthia’s in 2023.
Cynthia’s School of Dance & Music is celebrating their 35th Anniversary of teaching Dance & Music Lessons to children ages two through adult. Cynthia’s has been voted the Best Place in Pittsburgh for an Education in the Arts for the past five consecutive years.
